1st Great Paxton and the Offords

Scout Group

Welcome

Thank you for being visitor No.

Hello and a very warm welcome to the 1st Great Paxton and the Offords Scout Group web site. Our web site is designed to keep current members, visitors, parents and friends up to date on our acheivements and activities.

We have been running a weekly Cub Pack for many years now, offering a safe and relaxed place for young boys and girls to meet and have fun, whilst learning.

The Scouting Association provides adventurous activities and personal developement opportunities for around 400 thousand young people aged between 6 and 25 years of age.

In our Scout groups, we believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing', when they are given responsibility, work as a team and think for themselves.

As you may already know, the Scouting movement is a voluntry organisation and as such we need to raise funds to be able to run our sessions each week - So we are asking every one who views this site to sign up for 'Easy Fundraising' and help us raise vital cash that we desparately need.

What We Do?

The philosophy underpinning the programme is that every Scout should participate in a Balanced Programme over a period of time.

What we offer to young boys and girls in Scouting is a range of activities, events and experiences built around six Programme Zones.

Above all we believe in learning by doing and having as much fun in a safe way as possible.

Group News

Every week during Scouting we try where possible to include activities from the six programme zones to engage our young people.

We will be keeping a diary of how each activity worked out and also any latest news that we may have for upcoming weekly sessions.

If you have any news or ideas for activities, then we would love to hear from you.

Join Our Group

Would you like to to join the Scouting movement?

We are always looking for new members for our group, Scouting is not just for kids - All of the adults who are involved in our group have as much fun as all of the young people do.

We currently only have a Cub pack, but we would love to start a Beaver or Scout group. Do you think you could take on this role?
